The Lighthouse Award

Sponsored annually by The Bronxville School Foundation.

The Bronxville School was founded in 1922 as a Lighthouse School, dedicated to the ideal that children are unique individuals with a right to an education that focuses on helping them develop their highest potential at every stage of their development.

The Lighthouse Award is given each year to a member(s) of the Junior Class, as voted on by his/her classmates and the faculty, who exemplifies the school’s educational ideals of enthusiasm for learning, pride of accomplishment, self-discipline, self-esteem and consideration for the ideas and values of others, and who, through selfless dedication and service to the school and community during his/her years at Bronxville, has done the most to foster those ideals in others.

The Bronxville School Foundation sponsors this award to recognize deserving students and to celebrate the qualities of mind, spirit and service that have helped to make the school and Foundation a great success.
