The Katie Welling Memorial Run/Walk is a wonderful community event that honors Katie Welling, a 2002 BHS graduate who died in an off-campus fire at Miami University in Ohio. Katie had just turned 21. The Run/Walk commemorates Katie's wonderful sense of humor, her infectious laugh, and her love of life.
We also remember Tom Welling, Katie's father, who passed away in 2022. Tom led us in planning this special event for fifteen years and was an incredible friend and asset to the Bronxville community.
Katie's Run/Walk is a 2.5 mile race. The event will be in person on Saturday, November 25. Participants will meet in front of the Bronxville School. Check-in will open at 8 AM, and the race will start at 9 AM.
If you are not able to attend, you may also participate virtually by running, walking or biking any time from November 15 through 30. Walking or running on a treadmill or riding on a stationary bike at home are also great ways to participate. Be sure to take a photo and send it to us to share with the great community!
Registration Information:
The registration fee for the in-person event will be $25 through November 24, and $30 to register the day of the event. There is no registration fee to participate virtually, but a tax-deductible contribution would be welcomed.

Online registration for the in-person event will remain open through Wednesday, November 22, at noon.

- Friday, November 24, between 10 AM and 3 PM at the Bronxville Running Company, 52 Pondfield Rd, Bronxville, NY
- Saturday, November 25, between 8 AM and 8:45 AM at the front entrance of the Bronxville School, 177 Pondfield Rd., Bronxville, NY
If you register in person, you must pay by cash or check made payable to the Bronxville School Foundation.
Online registration for the virtual event will remain open through Thursday, November 30, at midnight.
All proceeds will benefit the Bronxville School Foundation whose mission is to enhance the quality of the education at the Bronxville School where Katie spent so many happy years.
